Official climate science is based on the corrupted work of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). One proof of corruption is the constant moving of the goalposts. They’re not moved to accommodate new evidence but to defend the hypothesis. A major example occurred in 2000 when CO2 continued to rise but temperatures declined, contradicting [...]
Claims that current weather patterns are extreme, unusual and due to global warming demonstrate ignorance of climate mechanisms. Global warming reduces the risk of severe weather. Ill-informed or complicit media repeat the falsehood until it becomes fact. Recent weather events are natural and easily explained but that is rarely reported. Here are recent examples of [...]
April 14th is the anniversary of Titanic’s collision with an iceberg in the North Atlantic. One can’t absolve the sailors from lack of vigilance because the accident happened, but it’s important to know their situation and expectations.
Some know the inadequacies of the world temperature data. Few know the degree of manipulation and corruption of the data done to prove the 20th Century temperature increase was unnatural. It completely undermines the scientific claims of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).
Note: This is the original of the article that appeared as an abbreviated op-ed in the National Post. H.L.Mencken said, “The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.” Today, academics, [...]
An article published through Penn State University would receive a failing grade in any reputable first year climate course. It is scientifically incorrect and demonstrates a lack of understanding of basic weather mechanisms and climate patterns. Despite this, the article is used to demand dramatic action in an application of the standard fall back of environmentalists – the Precautionary Principle. The author’s approach underlines so much of the problem with the global warming/climate change debate. Strong, emotional positions are held without understanding the science. So it fails as a philosophy paper as well.
We need more knowledge about water and its functions on Earth, especially with regard to weather and climate. All the emphasis is on temperature, but what happens to precipitation is far more important for plants and agriculture.
